1.About the Postdoctoral Research Stations:

Since 1985, China University of Geosciences (CUG), authorized by the Ministry of Personnel of China, has established one of the first groups of postdoctoral research stations. Currently, CUG has 15 postdoctoral research stations, covering the following disciplines: Geology, Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, Environmental Science and Engineering, Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Marine Science, Geophysics, Science and Technology of Surveying and Mapping, Management Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Safety Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Marxist Theory, Control Science and Engineering, Public Administration, etc. In 2015, postdoctoral research stations of Geology and Geological Resources and Geological Engineering were awarded “Excellent Postdoctoral Research Station” in the national comprehensive appraisal.    

The university provides high-level young talents, the “fresh troops” and key reserve of faculty, with ideal remuneration, outstanding research platforms and excellent academic atmosphere.(According to the statistics of the year 2018 and 2019, 80% of the post-doctors hold job positions in universities after completing their research in our postdoctoral research stations.)

One-time bonus for awardee of “Excellent Post-doctors” in research completion appraisal;

“Excellent Post-doctors” enjoys a service time requirement waiver in applying for specially-appointed professor (research fellow) and specially-appointed associate professor (associate research fellow).

Social security of Hubei Province, state-funded medical care, and affiliated school enrollment policy (the same as CUG faculty’s) for children.
